How to make french onion soup?

Soups are a delight in winters. There is nothing more comforting on a chilly day than a hot bowl of French onion soup? This warm, cozy, and also flavorful French onion soup is prepared with vegetable stock and caramelized onions served with toast. Moreover, this delicious soup will left your taste buds tantalized. Ingredients for vegetable stock for soup:

  • Carrots: 3
  • French beans: 10
  • Onions: 2
  • Potatoes: 2
  • Tomatoes: 2
  • Cabbage: 1/4 cup

Method of preparation for vegetable stock:

  • Firstly, cut vegetables into medium to big pieces and then add 7-8 tea cups of water and cook in pressure cooker.
  • Next, strain the stock in a bowl and also remove the vegetables with the strainer.

Ingredients for French onion soup:

  • Vegetable stock-Already prepared
  • Butter-1 tbsp.
  • Onions: 3
  • Toast-2
  • Cheese-2 tbsp
  • Salt, to taste

Method of preparation of French onion soup:

  • Firstly, slice onions very finely and shallow fry them till golden brown and set it aside.
  • Secondly, warm the butter in a deep pan and add half of the vegetable stock in the pan. Next, add 2 or 3 cups of water to the remaining stock and leave it for 10 minutes. Again, add top clear part of the stock to the soup.
  • Furthermore, add the onions, salt and grated cheese and also boil it for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, apply butter to the toast and sprinkle some cheese on it as well.
  • Lastly, for serving, in each cup, put 1 piece of toast and pour hot soup and sprinkle some cheese.
  • Finally, enjoy this hot cup of delight.
