Quick-cooking Oats – 1cup
Coarsely ground Apple unpeeled & grated – 1cup
Low-fat / Skimmed milk – 2 & 1/2cups
Almond slivered
As needed, Pomegranate seeds – For garnish
Method :
(Serving – 8)
Before heading on to cooking, coarsely pulse the Oats and keep ready.
In a wide pan, bring milk to a rolling boil and add the ground Oats to it.
Let it simmer for about 4-5mins so that the milk gets slightly reduced and the mixture thickens. Switch off the stove.
Add the grated apple and almond bits and mix gently.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds and serve warm or cold. This Oats Apple Phirni comes as a quick fix for sudden sweet cravings. Enjoy!
