Ingredients for vegetable stock for soup:
- Carrots: 3
- French beans: 10
- Onions: 2
- Potatoes: 2
- Tomatoes: 2
- Cabbage: 1/4 cup
Method of preparation for vegetable stock:
- Firstly, cut vegetables into medium to big pieces and then add 7-8 tea cups of water and cook in pressure cooker.
- Next, strain the stock in a bowl and also remove the vegetables with the strainer.
Ingredients for French onion soup:
- Vegetable stock-Already prepared
- Butter-1 tbsp.
- Onions: 3
- Toast-2
- Cheese-2 tbsp
- Salt, to taste
Method of preparation of French onion soup:
- Firstly, slice onions very finely and shallow fry them till golden brown and set it aside.
- Secondly, warm the butter in a deep pan and add half of the vegetable stock in the pan. Next, add 2 or 3 cups of water to the remaining stock and leave it for 10 minutes. Again, add top clear part of the stock to the soup.
- Furthermore, add the onions, salt and grated cheese and also boil it for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, apply butter to the toast and sprinkle some cheese on it as well.
- Lastly, for serving, in each cup, put 1 piece of toast and pour hot soup and sprinkle some cheese.
