Ingredients:
For chicken meatballs:
- Chicken, skinless and minced-100 g
- Garlic, minced or chopped-3-4
- Egg, beaten-1
- Black pepper-1 tsp
- Breadcrumbs (made with 2 bread slices)
- Salt to taste
For the spaghetti:
- Spaghetti-1/2 packet
- Tomato puree-1 cup
- Onion, finely diced-1
- Garlic, finely diced-3-4
- Green chilli, chopped-1
- Black pepper-1 tsp
- Oregano powder-1 tsp
- Grated cheese-1.5 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil-1 tbsp
Method of preparation:
How to make chicken meatballs?
- Firstly, to make the chicken meatballs, take a bowl and mix the minced chicken breast with black pepper, salt and chopped garlic.
- Secondly, break the egg in an another bowl and beat it lightly. Now, add the egg and also fresh breadcrumbs to the chicken mix and mix well with your hands or spatula.
- Now, form the meatballs of the desired size with your hands one by one and set it on a plate.
- Next, for pan frying meatballs, heat 1 tbsp. oil on the pan and cook the meatballs by moving them around till they are browned. And for baking meatballs, preheat oven to 200 C or 390 F for few minutes and meanwhile brush your meatballs and the baking tray with a little oil then bake for about 15-20 minutes till they are done and lightly browned.
How to make spaghetti?
- Firstly, boil your spaghetti in a deep pan with 1/2 tsp oil and 1/2 salt. After boiling, turn off the stove and also drain the excess water from the deep pan along with the starch and set it aside.
- Secondly, start with your spaghetti sauce. Take a pan and heat oil in it. Now, add chopped garlic, onion and green chili and cook till golden brown. Next, add tomato puree, salt, black pepper along with oregano. Also, taste and check the seasoning. (Pro tip: Don’t allow the sauce to become very thick. And if needed, add a little water to the sauce).
- Furthermore, put in the cooked meatballs and also spaghetti and cook it for a few minutes in the tomato sauce and just before taking it off the heat, put in some grated cheese.
- Finally, your chicken meatball spaghetti is ready to serve.
